Zurich to Davos is the journey that makes the strongest case for a private car. The train works and the scenery is famous, but it involves at least one change with all your luggage, and after a long-haul arrival that change is the part nobody enjoys. Two hours in one vehicle, door to door, is a different kind of arrival.

The journey
From Zurich Airport the drive runs south on the A3 along the Walensee, joins the A13 towards Chur, and turns off at Landquart for the valley road up to Klosters and Davos. It is around 150 km, and in clear conditions it takes about two hours including a stop if you want one.
In winter it can take longer. Snow on the Landquart–Klosters stretch, Saturday changeover traffic in the resort weeks, and the occasional closure all add time. We check conditions the morning of your transfer and tell you if we are setting off earlier.
Pickup options
Most Davos transfers start at the airport, but not all of them.
- Zurich Airport arrivals: send the flight number and we track the landing.
- A Zurich hotel or address: useful if you are spending a night in the city first.
- Zurich HB, if you have come in by train from elsewhere in Europe.
- The return leg, from your Davos hotel or apartment back to the airport.
Arriving from a long-haul flight
The typical Davos arrival is not a fresh one. You have flown overnight, you have cleared passport control, and you have a two-hour drive still to go. We plan around that: the car is warm, the bags are loaded for you, and nobody expects conversation.
If you would rather sleep the whole way, sleep the whole way. We will wake you when Davos appears.
Ski luggage
Skis, boards, boot bags and helmets all travel in the back of the V-Class rather than across your knees. A family's worth of winter equipment plus suitcases is the normal load, not the difficult one.
Tell us the count when you book: how many people, how many ski bags, how many cases. If it will not fit, we would much rather say so a week before you fly than at the kerb.
Where in Davos we drop you
Anywhere with an address: the hotels along the Promenade, Davos Dorf and Davos Platz, an apartment on the hillside, or the congress centre. Give us the exact address rather than just the resort. Davos is long and narrow, and the two ends are a fifteen-minute drive apart.
We also serve Klosters, Wolfgang and the smaller villages on the way up, which are on the same road and no harder to reach.
During the World Economic Forum
The January WEF week changes everything about driving into Davos: access restrictions, checkpoints, road closures and a level of demand the valley is not built for. Transfers that week need to be booked well in advance and planned around whatever the current access rules are.

Can I book a taxi from Zurich Airport to Davos?
Yes, it is one of our regular runs. Send us your flight number, the number of passengers and your Davos address, and we will quote the transfer and meet you in arrivals.
How long does the drive from Zurich to Davos take?
Roughly two hours from Zurich Airport in clear conditions, for about 150 km. Winter weather and Saturday changeover traffic can add to that, and we plan a margin in when they are likely.
Do you drive to Davos in winter?
Yes, all season. The vehicle is prepared for winter conditions and we check the road and weather situation on the morning of every alpine transfer.
Is there room for our ski equipment?
Normally yes. The V-Class is chosen partly for this. Send us the number of passengers, ski bags and suitcases when you book and we will confirm it fits.
Can you also drive us back to the airport?
Yes, and it is worth booking both legs at the same time. Tell us your departure flight and we will work the pickup time back from it.
Do you serve Klosters as well?
Yes. Klosters is on the same road a little before Davos, and the transfer works exactly the same way.
